Dang it's warm,cold,warm,cold then just plain nasty.So is the normal weather pattern this time of year on the East Coast of America I suppose.Well laying alongside the fuel dock in Maryland finally.The trip up wasn't to bad just boring.Haven't had much sleep due to the new presence of a "green" deckhand.Apparently I have been put in charge of making sure he doesn't die,lucky me.I just wish he would stop eating all my dramamine.Well everyone has to start somewhere I suppose.Our next step appears to be get rid of the barge!When this is going to take place,hell I don't know that information.On a different note a few of the pictures I have taken over the last year are up for further review by a few different magazines.My articles on the other hand I haven't heard another word about.Oh well if it's pictures they want then it's pictures they shall get.Proffessional Mariner has been in contact with me over a picture I took in the Mississippi River this past spring,so that's good.The company I work for has informed me that one of the pictures I took in Pascagoula,Mississippi this Summer may appear on the cover of the new calendar.Lastly Merchant Mariner Magazine is being pressured by me to print an article on supply and demand I wrote,haha.Well only time will tell what will happen,stay warm.Thursday, December 11, 2008

Professional Mariner is a great magazine, I seriously hope your efforts can be realized.
We are steadily moving towards the end of our season season and when Dec. 23rd strikes, only sea ducks will be in danger.
Had quite a day yesterday, scored my first ever geese and trying to get the story done. But family life isn't giving me a dang minute to type.
Be safe around the greenhead, oopss I mean greenhorn...
Well we've got plenty of geese but no ducks, and our season comes back in on tuesday....and right on cue...a warm front (of all things) is headed in tomorrow.

Proffesional Mariner does kick arse,and I did enjoy your video on your blog DEDH.I don't much care what you call this front coming,all I see is days of rain in my future.Damn bring on the snow and ice!
We got a fair amount of icing, but things turned around quickly on the coast. The people in central Maine like Rabid got whacked and stacked, but this storm still isn't even close to our ice storm of 98. That was bad. We are looking at snow tomorrow, I'm hoping for enough to call school off but not too much so I can drive to the blind...
